The first stop on your safari will be Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the greatest places to see wildlife in Africa because of The Great Migration, which is a yearly event that sees millions of wildebeests, thousands of zebras, and gazelles migrating in synchrony. Several species of animals, including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and cheetahs, can be found in abundance in the Masai Mara National Reserve.

The next stop on this 5 Days Kenya Culture and Wildlife Safari, a birdwatcher’s paradise known for its stunning flamingos, which line the lake’s edge and give it a pink hue.

Detailed itinerary of 5 Days Kenya Culture and Wildlife Safari

Day 1: transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After a briefing, our guide will pick you up when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or after breakfast at your Nairobi City hotel. You will travel through stunning savannah grasslands and the Great Rift Valley en route to the well-known Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will be treated to breathtaking views of the escarpments as well as Mount Longonot and Mount Suswa.

One of the nine wonders of the world, Masai Mara National Reserve is well-known for its wildlife safaris and the annual wildebeest migration that crosses the Mara River here in Africa. A wide variety of animals can be found in the reserve, including giraffes, lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and gazelles.

After checking into your lodge, you’ll arrive in time for lunch. After that, you’ll take an afternoon game drive to see the Masai plains. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the evening.

Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve with evening Masai Cultural Tour

After breakfast at the lodge, you will embark on a full-day game drive through the plains of the Masai Mara national reserve, ending at one of the picnic sites along the Mara River with a picnic lunch. Savour your meals while taking in the breathtaking views of the Mara River’s wildlife, including Nile crocodiles, and the endless plains of Masai Mara.

The rolling grasslands of Masai Mara provide amazing opportunities for wildlife viewing. During a full-day game drive, you can see a variety of animals, including cape buffalo, lions, leopards, giraffes, gazelles, and elands.

You will visit the Masai village in the late afternoon to have a cultural experience. You will learn about Masai customs, culture, and norms during the visit. You will become more enlightened by taking part in their traditional dances, sampling some of their cuisine, and interacting with the elderly. After dinner, head back to the lodge for the night.

Day 3: transfer to Lake Nakuru and explore the lake

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a sanctuary for rhinos and a birdwatcher’s paradise. The park is well-known for its leopards, black and white rhinos, flamingos, the critically endangered Rothschild, and many other species.

After checking in to your lodge, you will have lunch before going on an afternoon game drive in the park. After seeing numerous animals and sizable flamingo populations along Lake Nakuru’s shores, head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: transfer to Samburu National park and afternoon game drive

Following breakfast at your lodge, you will travel north through Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-largest mountain, to reach Samburu National Reserve. After checking into your lodge, arrive in time for lunch. After getting ready, go on an afternoon game drive through Samburu’s wilderness, which is home to rare wildlife species that have adapted to the region’s desert-like climate.

Watch for rare Grevy’s zebras, shy Oryx, gerenuk antelopes that are observed standing on their hind legs to eat, Somali ostriches with distinctive blue legs, and a variety of other animals, including elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, lions, and hippos. After dinner, head back to the lodge for the night.

Day 5: Drive back to Nairobi

You will check out of the lodge and go on the final game drive after breakfast. You will then leave the park and travel to Nairobi during the best time of day for game viewing because the animals are actively feeding. Enjoy your lunch on the way, and after you reach the city, you’ll be dropped off at the airport to catch your international flight home.
