Day 1; pick up and drive to Mbarara
It will take approximately four hours to travel to Mbarara from Kampala, where you will be picked up. You will make a stop in Kayabwe, where you can visit the craft stores and take pictures at the equator.
You will drive on to the Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara, where you will visit the museum to learn about the Ankole way of life. You will be driven to the hotel after your visit to Igongo so you can check in and have a laid-back evening before dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2; drive to Lake Mburo for game drive and boat cruise
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to the Lake Mburo national park for an early morning game drive. During the drive, you will be on the lookout for various wildlife species, including antelopes, buffalos, impalas, and zebras. Lunch will be served to you following the game drive.
After lunch, you will take a two-hour boat ride in the Lake Mburo National Park, where you can take in the scenery and see a variety of wildlife along the lake’s edge. After the game drive, you’ll be driven back to the hotel to relax and get ready for dinner and the rest of the night.
Day 3; drive to Kampala
After having breakfast at the hotel in Mbarara, you will start the journey back to Kampala.
